The DeWalt DW733-QS Portable Thicknesser Planer is a professional-grade benchtop thickness planer designed to deliver precise thicknessing and smooth surface results on rough or finished timber. Powered by a robust 1800 W motor, it quickly removes material with a feed rate of approximately 8 m/min, while its large infeed/outfeed tables improve support and accuracy during planing operations. 

Built with a four-post column design, the cutter head moves smoothly and accurately with minimal vibration. The integrated head lock facility eliminates movement of the cutter head during operation, contributing to consistent finishes. Adjustable thickness scale, material removal gauge, and graduated depth crank allow for precise control over thickness settings. 

This planer also features a dust extraction adapter, making it compatible with shop vacuum systems to keep chips and debris under control. It accommodates materials up to a maximum planing width of ~317 mm and a maximum material thickness of ~152 mm, with a maximum cutting depth of approximately 2 – 3 mm per pass.
